World premiere of the live version of “Music For Hard Times,” the experimental 2020-21 double album by The Living Earth Show in collaboration with composer Danny Clay, conductor David Baker and myself.
The special one night show featured The Living Earth Show’s Travis Andrews and Andy Meyerson playing alongside Kaufman Music Center’s Special Music School Select Choir and Orchestra. My three channel film was presented on large screens flanking the stage. Part of Kaufman Music Center’s 2023–24 Merkin Hall season (Artist-as-Curator coverage previewed this program).
The show was livestreamed on WNYC’s New Sounds Live hosted by John Schaefer, one of NYC’s most important and enduring platform for adventurous and experimental music.
